On Valentines Day, and the eve of the North East Independent Economic Review, what does the future hold for the North East Economy? Is it hearts and roses over the next ten years?
I have just googled “UK Enterprise Strategy” and cannot seem to find a thing on this subject more recent than 2009. Yet the word “enterprise” has seeped into most new initiatives, we have Local Enterprise Partnerships, Enterprise Zones, Enterprise Capital funds, but no Enterprise Strategy. This is despite the fact that the UK government’s Plan for Growth specifically states that a core aim is to:- “…make the UK one of the best places in Europe to start, finance and grow a business”
